From the folks behind the JapaCurry food truck comes Roku, a new izakaya at 1819 Market Street (between Pisco and Sushi Zone).
An izakaya is akin to a Japanese gastropub. So, expect small plates and drinks aplenty. UrbanDaddy reports that one item on the drink menu will be shochu, a popular distilled beverage that lies somewhere in strength between sake and whiskey.
Roku soft-opened last Wednesday, which means they’re probably still working out the kinks. But Grubstreet says they’ll be opening for real-real tomorrow. Hours during the soft-launch have been 5pm to 10pm.
