You know what’s not cool? Ruining our walls and buildings.
We’ve recently noticed a few taggings on the 300 block of Buchanan Street.
The first one was spotted yesterday when we were walking around. Someone took purple spray paint to the Western Addition Peace Wall that runs along the northeast corner of Koshland Community Park.
As you can see in the picture above, they only tagged the top of the wall. While no graffiti is better than some graffiti, we’re thankful they didn’t ruin the tiles that were created by students.
If you continue south down Buchanan, you run into that giant peach (pink? salmon?) building on the corner. If you turn left on Haight, you come across this:
The lightest color paint is covering up some graffiti that was done a few days ago.
This tagging was pretty obscene. Let’s just say it began with the letter “F” and rhymed with “Muck u hoe.”
For some reason, this specific spot gets a lot of attention. You can tell by the three additional shades of paint that have been applied over the months/years.
Has anyone else noticed any similar vandalism lately? Or any repeated spots like the one above?
