Beginning this Sunday, you will now be able to board Muni busses and streetcars from all available doors.
You know. Since you haven’t been doing that already.
So what constitutes a valid proof-of-payment? According to SFMTA, they are the following items:
-Clipper® Cards (tag in the back)
-Limited Use Tickets (sold at vending machines in Muni Metro stations)
-Paper Passes (including Lifeline Passes, Discount Passes, Visitor Passports, Cable Car Day Passes and CityPass booklets)
-Transfers/Fare Receipts (the ones that last for 90 minutes)
Who still has to enter through the front door? Anyone paying with cash.
This new rule applies to all bus routes, along with the F, J, K, L, M, N and S rail lines.
Happy boarding. Be kind out there.
